Arrival from / Departure to Vienna Airport (Flughafen Wien)
Take the bus no. 1187 (direction "Wien Westbahnhof"), exit at station "Wien Südbahnhof (Wiener Gürtel)", trains to direction Graz are leaving from the gates 11 to 19 (see local scoreboards). Your destination is the main train station of Graz ("Graz Hauptbahnhof" in German). See here for the schedule. The ticket costs € 33.00 for adults (2nd class, one-way). The tramway no. 3 and 6 are going for the main train station of Graz to the center of the city (see also Transportation within Graz).
From Graz Airport (Flughafen Graz)
By taxi
A taxi from the airport to the "Stadthalle" costs approximately € 21.

By bus
The buses no. 630 and 631 are going to the city center, exit at "Jakominiplatz". From there you can take the tramway no. 4 (direction "Liebenau"), exit on "Stadthalle". See here for the schedule. A ticket (it is valid for an hour) costs € 1.80 and you can buy it from the bus driver.
Transport within Graz
IMPORTANT: You need to stamp your ticket in a ticket validation machine (in tramway, busses) the first time you use it!
The tickets are valid in zone 101, including:
- all city transport with single and double digit line numbers
- the regional busses 630 and 631 to the Graz Airport
Please note there will be a rise in the price for the transportation on July 1 2009.
1-hour-ticket
Price: € 1.80 (1,90 after June 30 2009)

10- zones- ticket
This ticket can be used by one or more persons for trips. Simply validate the number of fields you need before you begin to travel.
Price: € 15.70 (16,70 after June 30 2009)

24-hours-ticket
Price: € 3.80 (4,10 after June 30 2009)

Graz-3-Day Ticket
Costs: € 9.90
Where to buy: Hotels, Graz Tourism office (address: Herrengasse 16), City Mobility Centre (address: Jakoministraße 1), Graz main railway station, Graz Airport information desk
This ticket is valid until the same time three full days later. You can get price reductions for some tourist attractions (see http://www.gvb.at/home/aktuelle_news_events/Folder-Endversion.pdf).
Week-Ticket
IMPORTANT: The card is only valid until midnight of the 7th day.
